Driving lights, light bars, or both?

They do different jobs. Driving lights throw distance straight down the road. Light bars spread wide and fill in the edges where your headlights stop. Plenty of touring setups run both - a pair of driving lights for reach, a bar for peripheral vision on tight tracks and corners.

Beam pattern matters more than raw output

A flood beam spreads wide and close. A driving or spot beam throws far and narrow. A combo or hybrid does both from one housing. Buying the brightest light with the wrong pattern is how people end up with a well-lit patch of nothing.

Joiners and controllers

Ultima bars can be joined end to end with a joiner to make a longer bar, which is how the 40 inch and 48 inch kits are built. The Ultima Connect+ controller changes the beam pattern on compatible lights without swapping hardware.

Wiring them in
