270° freestanding awnings — designed for Australian conditions. A Rainger Duo 270 awning wraps shade across the side and rear of your 4WD in seconds: freestanding, one-person setup, no poles in your walkway. Every Duo 270 runs 280GSM blackout ripstop canvas (heavier than the 200–220GSM most use), a blackout underside that keeps the shade cooler, dual-colour dimmable LED on all four arms, and D-Zip roof top tent access fitted as standard.

Three sizes to match your rig: the 2.5M for full-size 4WDs, the 2.0M 6-arm XL, and the compact 1.7M for Jimny & SWB. Prefer a tighter wrap? There's a 180° option too. Add walls and the brackets to mount it to any roof rack or roof top tent. Not sure what fits? Ask us before you order.

270 Degree Awnings and Touring Shelter Built for Serious Camp Setups

The Rainger Duo 270 degree awning is freestanding — no front support arms cluttering your usable space under the awning. A single telescopic drop leg provides additional support when needed, but the awning stands and stays put without a pole forest underneath it.

Three 270 configurations cover most touring setups. The 2.5M D-Zip suits standard touring vehicles and integrates directly with Revo-X RTTs via the D-zip entry system — no awkward canvas overlap, no compromised tent door access when the awning is deployed. The 6ARM 2.0M D-Zip adds an additional arm for larger coverage and stronger wind performance. The 1.7M Jimny and SWB-specific model solves the fitment problem that standard 2.5M awnings create on short wheelbase vehicles — too long, poor coverage geometry, mounting complications.

The Duo 180 degree awning covers buyers who want strong side coverage without the full 270 sweep — a practical option for setups where rear access or vehicle geometry makes a 270 less suitable.

All Duo awnings include integrated dual-colour dimmable LED lighting with USB-A dimmer controllers. Shade by day and usable camp light by night without a secondary lighting purchase. 280GSM blackout ripstop canvas, 1000GSM black PVC bag. Available in Desert Tan and Midnight Black.

The shower ensuite tent pairs with any Duo awning to create a fully enclosed camp bathroom. The bracket range covers Revo-X RTT direct mount, universal vehicle fitment, height adjusters and extended risers for canopy setups.

    270 Awning FAQs

Are the Duo awnings freestanding — do I need poles? Yes — they're freestanding, with no front support arms cluttering the space underneath. A single telescopic drop leg adds support in stronger wind when you want it, but the awning stands on its own.

Which 270 awning suits my vehicle? The 2.5M D-Zip suits standard touring vehicles and integrates with Revo-X roof top tents; the 6ARM 2.0M D-Zip gives larger coverage and stronger wind performance; the 1.7M Jimny / SWB model suits short-wheelbase vehicles. Want side coverage without the full sweep? The Duo 180.

Do they come with lights? Yes — integrated dual-colour dimmable LED lighting with a USB-A dimmer is standard, so you get shade by day and camp light by night. 280GSM blackout ripstop canvas, 1000GSM PVC bag, in Desert Tan or Midnight Black.

What brackets do I need for my roof rack or canopy? The bracket range covers Revo-X RTT direct mount, universal vehicle fitment, height adjusters and extended risers for canopies. Generic brackets often don't suit every rack or canopy — contact us before ordering so you get the right solution first time.

Can I add walls or a shower tent? Yes — the shower ensuite tent pairs with any Duo awning to create a fully enclosed camp bathroom, and wall kits extend your coverage into a more sheltered setup.

Do they work with a Revo-X rooftop tent? Yes — the D-Zip models integrate directly with Revo-X roof top tents via the D-zip entry system, with no awkward canvas overlap or blocked tent door when deployed.

Unsure what brackets suit your vehicle or canopy? Contact us before ordering — generic brackets often don't suit the variety of racks and canopies on the market, and getting the bracket solution right the first time saves buying a second set later.
